The 20" part means NOTHING for snow. Only the width is an issue because it has the tendency to compact the snow instead of slice through it. They make snow tires for that size so pretty much end of story. The power also isn't an issue as your right foot and the gear you start out in has complete control over that.
Oh and there are quite a few large Mercedes and BMW's floating around here with at least 275's.
To say the entire car isn't designed to be driven in snow is idiotic. They do cold weather testing just for that reason. Had he said the summer tires weren't made for it...when then it would be a rather large ..DUH
