I am sorry but that movie was a bunch of generalized distortions.
The EV-1 was an experiment. Those who leased it knew that upfront.
When the technology had run its course, GM (who happened to own them) took them back.
Thats hardly a conspiracy. GM used the lessons learned to develop such things as the upcoming VOLT.
Also, having a high performqnce automobile like the Camaro, whish with 426 hp, is quite capable of attaining 25 mpg, is quite a leap over what we had to live with way back in the "day."
Way back then comparable perfomance came at a cost of much less than 10 mpg.
Yes things have changed. But having lived through a lot of those changes, I am happy with what I now can drive.
The overall, outlook needs to take into account a lot more factors tahn just your car.
Oh, and for those who have never been to Montreal, the climate tehere isn't really all that dissimilar to my hometown of Chicago.
