It takes time. The ticket has to go through the courts, enter the guilty plea, take the fine, blah blah blah, info. forwarded to MTO (if in Ontario) and then placed on your driving record and then finally that record reviewed by the insurance company. Simply put, I got 2 speeding tickets 3 years ago, 4 months apart. The one the officer never filed. The second he did, I pled (he gave me 10 over when he caught me doing 24, so ace for him) and my company just got it last year. The ticket comes off my insurance this year.
I didn't get any points. If you get points, you're f***ked in terms of insurance, unless they have a first time forgiveness policy. Knowing that points start at around 20 over, if you have 3 of those, you're pretty much in trouble.
Just wait, they won't call you. When you renew and they finally get it, they'll just mention that your rates changed because of it.
