It was right around the 50K mark is when they stopped with the chicklets. GM wanted to promote the car brands rather than the GM corporate brand. So they say. Which was completely opposite of the reason they gave when they decided to put them on...strange, I know. So I agree they had to spin that to cover the fact that they're just looking to save a few bucks.
