Not GM's or the dealer's fault if you decide to install or have someone else install aftermarket electrical components and problems arise. Same with mechanical add ons like CAI and long tube headers.

Read the Owner's Manual. It specifically states that such modifications could damage components in the car and they would not be covered by warranty.

It never ceases to amaze me that people will butcher their vehicles or have some professed expert with wire strippers and duct tape install all sorts of components in their car and then cry when it breaks and expect the manufacturer to pay for it.

Basically one has to be accountable and responsible for his actions, and if he is wrong accept the consequences. If you want to play be prepared to pay. End of rant.
