Chrysler was bailed out in 1979, and GM was given money as recent as September. You can't have it both ways you cant argue that the free market is the best way, and then when American cars suffer a lack of sales due to the perception that they are lesser quality ( whether that is true or not true on the quality issue) that you need the government to bail them out. People are arguing for the free market and government assistance at the same time, HUH???

With regards to having millions invested in something and then having to give it up. It happens all the time. Especially, the companies that are under such stress. Its not that they want to give it up but if you don't have anymore money to invest into it, you don't have any more money to invest into. Look it is happen already all future designs on hold, Camaro Vert on hold, layoffs, plant closings the cuts in spending are happen and they will continue to happen. When a company is in this kind of dire straights all things are on the table including the camaro. I'm not saying they are going to cut the Camaro, I'm just saying that in this market and climate, it is not a 100% that the car gets made.
