This has been a rollercoaster week.

After going ahead and making the decision monday night to cancel my order for my 2011 2SS/RS after my wife and I found out we are having our first baby, I called Eric at Classic Chevrolet on Tuesday to tell him the sad news.

That was that. A very sad day all round. I was (am) gutted.

A long time before we placed our order, Classic Chevrolet announced a sweepstakes to win a 2010 Camaro LS. Both my wife and I entered as soon as we saw the sweepstakes. Thought nothing more of it.

Well, this afternoon, I got a call from Classic Chevrolet's marketing department, and I instantly thought it was to ask about my experience with the dealer, with placing my order and then having to cancel it.

Turns out that isn't what the call was about. I was told that out of 6700 entries to the sweepstakes, they had whittled it down to 20 names for the final drawing on June 1st, and I was the last name pulled!

I was in complete shock.

I am so going to be there for the drawing on June 1st at Classic Chevrolet in Grapevine to see if I have won the car! It's very exciting indeed. I know I'm not a winner currently, but this whole experience has been very humbling, the elation of getting to finally order my 2011 Camaro, to find out that we are going to have our first child, to making the sensible decision based upon that news to cancel the order for the car even tho it gets built a week on Monday, and then to get this phone call one day later, that I might have a chance at winning a Camaro LS.
