Help me understand what exactly?
I don't need to own the car to know how to sell it. Camaro's depreciate in price. All cars do. $26,500 is 7% off MSRP whereas $25,000 is closer to 13%. Not as high as some would like it, but it's still a respectable sum considering the car has 7,000 miles on it. From a buyer's perspective, that's a more enticing offer.
This one used car lot near my house still has 1LT sitting out front, and it's been there for two months now. I can only guess they're not selling it because they're asking too much. Near MSRP- $23995, 10501 miles. Actual MSRP is $24,730. And here it is. Of course, they are a used car dealer, so maybe they're not willing to drop the price that much (a good portion of them are thieves anyways), but something tells me that isn't necessarily case since this is such a hot car.
Now, granted this isn't as close as the instance in this thread, it still provides evidence to support my argument. If you're going to pay close to new for something that isn't, you might as well go the extra mile and get it new. If you're going to sell something that isn't new, no matter how close it is to it, you're not going to get new for it.
Furthermore, the OP was asking what people thought was a fair price. I thought $25,000 was fair. Given that the OP can most likely reason, they would have taken other people's opinions into account and come up with a price to sell at. It's almost like how we don't have one person vote for the president. If the OP can sell it at $26,500, kudos to them. If not, then oh well.

And one thing I did learn while spending 10 arduous weeks looking at used Camaro's- for the price the person is asking, there's always a better car; you just have to keep looking. Again, I don't have to own the car to know how to sell it.
