Unfortunately this is probably the worst time for the release of the new Camaro. I sadly think that sales are going to be really poor for multiple reasons:
1) who wants to buy a car from a company that is near bankruptcy (or bankrupt by the time the camaro comes to market)
2) many Americans are out of jobs and can't afford a new car
3) Those who have jobs are scared to make big purchases like cars because they're not sure if they are next to get the axe from their job
4) Loan companies are not giving out loans like they used to.
5) All electric cars are just around the corner (Mini is about to release an all electric car as well as Dodge and several other smaller co's). I think many will hold out for an all electric car before making another car purchase.
I think all these things are going to hurt sales of the camaro. I wish the Camaro came out at any other time than in the next year because I feel that it's going to really hurt it's chances for success.
I wish it weren't so. I really hope GM makes it through this tough time, yet it's not looking good.
