With enough work and money, anything can be fast. I have some serious doubts that he'd be able to do it. Unless he goes crazy with the giggle gas or runs a turbo setup with over 10 lbs of boost (plus other supporting work) or something else of equal ambition ... I just don't see it happening. Even if he does get the engine built up enough to beat you, I don't think the rest of the drivetrain is up to the task of handling that amount of power. At the very least he would need to upgrade the wheels and tires, skinny little 215's just won't do it when you want to put over 350 hp to the ground.
