Its advertising. there is a market that would look at the camaro in a much better light if they did, what is 50k dollars to work on a drift car when you are a 1billion dollars per month company.

there will be a camaro drift car, but i dont know if it will be sponsored by gm beyong maybe giving them cars. Its not a very expensive proposition and would be very cool to see.
