Well I think a couple things are at play here. I have NO idea why GM is keeping the Tune on the V6 so protected.... I mean this engine has been around for a while in the CTS so You'd think they could let the cat out of the bag.....
I'm not sure I'd call them.... 'holes'

But releasing the ECM data is in some form an "Intelectual Property" concern.... Maybe there is something in that tune that they don't want the competition to see....
where as the LS3 is a known quatity.... Not sure...
but the way it stands now is the tuners are limited to trial and error and with out a lot of real world testing that is proving to be risky.... Ask Lingenfelter.....
