It's preference I guess, The Hurst was very "stiff". I would try to find a car with one installed and row thru the gears before you decide. I did DO just that and I wasn't crazy about it but my friend said, don't worry you will get used to it. Well I really never got used to it. LOL.
One other thing I want to add. On everyday driving, not racing, I rest my arm on the the side of the cup holders and console pad. so I'm really shifting with my fingers and wrist with no real arm movement. Unless you have forearms like Popeye, your not doing that with a Hurst.
