Chirping tires can be subjective as well. I get a slight chirp pretty often just rounding a corner at a pretty low rate of speed and while definitely NOT trying to accelerate hard in my nearly 6000 pound Silverado. My Dad's 94 Z28 would chirp second at part throttle and that was without any mods (with an Auto). It's a BS revenue generator.
Still, if you're accelerating hard to merge onto the interstate that's one thing. If you're punching it from a light because you're forgetting your right foot a little, that's something else. I think it's largely dependent on the car/truck/etc.. Here, I can pass cops on the interstate doing up to 5 over and I don't even get looked at. I imagine that would be different if I was in a sporty car.
