I think society has deemed it in car world age 25 and under is still a kid, given insurance rates don't drop till then. In actual world age 18 is consider adult, and age 21 you get to actually do adult things legally. So given this aspect and what this means in actuallity and how it all evens out age 25 and older to 40 something is young adult, and then 40 something and older is considerd 'middle aged' and then you kindov stay in that whole middle aged group until i would say you hit 70 something then you would be considerd old or elderly. I would consider 60s age group late late middle age, but middle age none the less.
