The info you quoted was inaccurate, but your post brings up a point.
Why is it considered OK for GM and Ford to buddy up and spend millions with companies like Mazda & Toyota to produce cars at NUMMI and cars like the Fusion, but when it comes to someone here in the US buying a Toyota or Mazda it should never happen?
Some people don't get how important the overseas market is to GM, what if every country was that narrow minded? GM would have been in the tank years ago.
