I was in a similar position. I'm a tad older than you, but I've only spent 3 years working in my career field. So I'm not in a position to buy the SS, yet. I could have done it anyway, but I'm glad I didn't.
I don't know if you'll be, but I'm completely happy with my ~325 HP V6. And I do plan on buy a generation 6 SS. Good luck with your decision.
