When you look at larger wheels and tires you need to be careful and consider all factors impacting fit. A tool like what Rims-N-Tires has on their web site is quite helpful, see:

The tool will show you all around clearance comparison to the stock setup.
It will also show you what size wheels are recommended for a given tire size which would answer your original question.
It shows that for a 315 tire you should use a wheel size ranging from 10 to 12 inches in width - so the 10 inch wheels would be on the small side for this tire.
