i never understood the visual inspection part of smogging. Mainly the part where people say if the cat is moved even slightly, you will fail. How in the world do they inspect these cars in cali? do they put it on a lift and take a tape measure out? lol I know they have mirrors they stick under the car to inspect, but i would think that as long as there was a cat and it passed the sniff test or whatever test they do, then it would be fine. I don't think they ever pop the hood, do they?
