A good modern nitrous kit will be setup on a TPS window switch... you set the RPM window that you want nitrous to spray (Usually 3000-6000 RPM or a few hundred RPM under the rev limiter, you don't want it spraying if you hit rev limiter) and you set the TPS portion up so that it only activates at full throttle. Then once both conditions are met (Full throttle and minimum RPM) it will trip the relay which connects power to the solenoids and spray nitrous/fuel. Your arming switch will be setup to provide power to the window switch, When the arming switch is turned off then the window switch will not have power and nothing nitrous related will be powered or able to be triggered.
There is no switch on the accelerator, a good window switch has a TPS function built in and all it takes is a wire run to one of the wires on the throttlebody connector.
