PS3:
Potential has not yet been reached by gavme developers
Final Fantasy XII
Blu Ray player
Cons:
Xbox360:

PS3:
Sub-par online experience
controller gives you arthritis/carpal tunnel/not as comfortable as 360 controller
Price is $100+ than xbox360
No Backwards compatible (some models)
Edit: Just some history on me.
I've loved Final Fantasy and bought only Sony products starting with the original PSX. My bro bought xbox and played halo and amped all the time. I played Final Fantasy and MGS mostly. Bought PS2 because I wasn't a big xbox fan. This past year when I wanted a nextgen system I did my research. Originally I wanted to buy an xbox for 6 months from costco and return it when PS3 came out, but XBL really makes that much of a difference. I don't miss PS3 at all. There's more exclusive titles for Xbox and I'm not worried about not having blu ray. Those players are like 150 bucks now...
My friends have all three systems (360/ps3/wii) and they all agree, Wii = party game system for smash brothers, ps3 = blu ray, xbox = online/overall gaming capability.
As for the difference in graphics, there is none between PS3 and Xbox. I can show you videos from gameplay from both and you couldn't tell the difference...I bought Xbox for the online experience and playing with my brother, friends and random people on line. That seems to be the trend of games nowadays and you'll find that the 360 delivers that much better than PS3.
Plus, I used to work for EA and Sony. Sony was a pain to work for, so screw them.
