I have a 1LT with the Boston Acoustic system. I have 11,000 miles on my car and within the last couple weeks, an intermittent whining sound has developed like an alternator whine. I can't tell for sure if it's coming from the speakers or the instrument panel. It's not very loud and the volume on the radio has no affect on it. I hear it sometimes when the BA is off and sometimes when it's on. If I'm listening to a talk station I notice it more because if I'm listening to music, the music overpowers the noise drowning it out.
Anyone else experience this or have any ideas what it might be? The thing that's frustrating and keeping me from running right to the dealer is that it's not always making the noise.
