one could also argue that u did gain from the 100 octane as well. because it allowed the car to be tuned more aggressive, thus leading to more power. so really its a combination of both. cant tune the car that aggressive w/o higher octane.

u can gain power, just by using a better tune on regular 91 octane, now throw in 100 ur looking at more hp potential due to more aggressive tuning capabilities.
