Ummmmm, if your car is setting codes, they are correct. OnStar can upload the same information your dealer can.
I've not had an OnStar person (unless I've asked for Tech Support) quite know enough to guess on your behalf.
I had a simple "Shipping Mode" on a LaCrosse in Florida last New Years Eve and we leaving to drive home the next morning. The OnStar operator didn't know what it was and suggested we take it to a dealer immediately. Asking for Tech Support, we got someone who knew how the car got in to this mode and what to do to get out of it. As CTF cars don't have owners manuals it was quite handy.
I am not possitive, but I don't think all OnStar operators are trained in how your car works.
And basically, your car is like the B2 bomber..........without the PCM/TCM you aren't going very far very fast.
Get it to a dealer and have them look at it. That's the only way you are going to know what is going on with your car.....at least from what you are describing.
