Increasing intake and exhaust flow-ability only helps fuel economy if you run WOT@high RPM all the time. If not, the restriction is at the throttle or just the amount of air that it tries to pull at low RPM. The stock system on the Camaro will probably be more free-flowing than a common SUV or economy car/grocery getter.
