Let's see, the only mods to my car were an electronic ignition, a full exhaust, and a tweaked carb. Altogether I figure that, in the early 90's I was getting about 50hp for that, a notion which I also based on the fact that
two Mustang magazines tried almost exactly the same mods on an engine almost exactly like mine. (there were minor variances in both of them to be fair, but minor is the key term here)
Still, I suppose virtually the exact same setup running virtually the exact same 1/4 mile times could make vastly different hp. I think the one doing too much assuming here might be you.
1/4 mile times don't lie. 400hp in a 3600lb car does not a mid to high 14 second car...best effort no less.... make.
