 Hmmmm... this gets more interesting... so My 8th digit is neither a J or a V or a W.... its a "D"  . I just looked up the VIN decoder on this site and found nothing for an interpretation of a D! Anyhow, I am not too worried anymore because I did find out that the 5th digit means series and it is a C which correctly reflects a 2LTAuto. If anyone knows what the D means in the 8th position, I would be curious to know. Tried a google search but got nowhere.

a "D"?! Really?!? News to me. Maybe it's a new code for the 2011 model year?
Good news though that digit #5 is "C" rather than "G" -- good confirmation I think!
Just out of curiosity, if you look at your paperwork from GM GlobalConnect when your order was placed (assuming the dealer gave you a copy), does it show the model as a 1EG37 or a 1EC37? I'd bet all the money in my wallet (about $5) that they ordered you a 1EG37 with auto tranny as an option. My dealer ordered me a 1ET37 model though I should hopefully end up with a 1EK37.
I don't know their systems that well, but there must not be a way to order a 1EC37 or 1EK37 as a standalone model. Might explain why the window stickers are wonky....
