Honestly, the Z28 is going to be the greatest thing since sliced bread. If this car starts in the low to mid 40's? It will sell. My thing is though... What will i do with 505hp on the street? On the Z forum, there are a ton of Z06 converts. there reason for going to a 370z is that in street driving, 505hp is way too much. (and overall improved handling of a smaller/lighter car) so theres no room for much fun unless you are planning on doing over 100mph and the vette reaches 100 waaayy too fast. Which honestly, you can barely ever do. My experience with the SS is similar but not as bad as the Z06 i presume. when you switch to paddles and shift aggressive it can be fun when the paddles dont cut you off. (6at doesnt allow you to shift too aggressively which sucks) but the SS reaches 100mph in mere seconds.
the v6 just doesnt do it for me. a 6+ second 312hp car doesnt scream performance. For my taste i need a minimum of 5.5/13.8 STOCK PERFORMANCE, anything higher is null and void in my book. that said the SS performance is near perfect. (my only wish is that it revved a little higher, 7000-7200rpm anyone? (Ive gotten used to high revving imports) All and all, my hats go off to future Z/28 owners who will be tracking often. That car will rule the track!!!
