The salt is just part of it, in fact most places have switched to using safer materials on the roads. The main danger of driving the Camaro in icy and snowy conditions is the fact that it is rear-wheel drive, low, and heavy. All three of these factors combine to give you a car that handles about as well as a shopping cart with a broken wheel when you get them in slippery conditions.
