I'm just lost on these threads i guess coming from a modding background. To me buying a car for your top end goals as is just isn't very fun in my opinion. This is an opinion and it is mine.

In my mind the guy who put an intake and exhuast on himself earns more respect then a guy who buys a built car ........ be it the z28 or one built in a performance shop. Basically one guy did the work and put in the time ........... the other just swiped a card ........ who has the most reason to brag or be proud of what they have? Everyone will have their own opinion here of course and that can be argued till end of time itself.

Also i read these forums for fun and skim alot of topics (cept stereo those guys need suvs or something). I've seen some of the very people in here including me magazine race specs of cars .......... we are no better then the guy who was compairing cars by the forza 3 stats lol.

Quite simply put you bring the z28 fully warrantied to the track against the modded SS's and see how ya do (if even 2% of the z28 fans even buy one). Win or lose i personally will respect the modder more. And win or lose good luck keeping that warranty after they find out the car was tracked ........... and once that warranty does end where do you go from there? I bet you come to the darkside of modding and make that daring purchase of cold air intake that a shop will charge ya 400 to install lol.
