Sorry to revive an old thread but was wondering if you guys could help me out. I'm looking at putting the Metra kit with the 920BT in my 2011 SS. How is it working for you? Specifically:

1) Were you able to use the factory mic or did you have to install the Alpine external mic?
2) Were you able to get the unit to recognize the factory USB and/or mic port in the armrest?
3) Steering wheel controls work like phone pickup/hangup, audio mute, volume control?
4) Don't know if anyone out there has a 2011 but am curious to see if the bluetooth call display and song information appears in the HUD like it does with the factory head unit?

I've had AVIC's in the past and love the product but would like to integrate the AVIC as much as I can with the factory equipment.
