I'll speak for the tall people (I'm 6'9") and the Mustang was ruled out because of the lack of leg room. Sure the roof line is low on a Camaro, but I fit in it just fine. If I had wanted a sun roof I would be SOL- but the Camaro has a great amount of leg room and it's very comfortable.
To the OP- the Mustang and the Camaro (and Challenger too) are great car's. What you need to do is go and drive both back to back and decide which one makes you smile the most. I have no problem with people buying American Muscle no matter what the tag on it says. Ford, Chevy, Dodge- it's all good to me.

Oh yeah, I forgot about the leg room! the Mustang is definitely cramped in the front seat for a person with long legs. Even if I wanted the Mustang I personally couldn't have bought it for a daily driver because of this. Short trips are fine, but if my legs are up against the dash, then they'll be sore if I'm driving like that regularly.
