Cool Chevrolet Camaro x3 at Silverstone This Weekend

Per Automobiles Review

Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Championship will be the event, which will take place this weekend at the Silverstone race track. Three generations of Camaro will stand side-by-side.

The latest Camaro is powered by a 6.2-litre V8 engine developing 426bhp – a number not significantly different from Stuart Scott’s 1970 car.

But the oldest Camaro of the trio is not a standard road car – it is a replica of the former Richard Lloyd British Saloon Car Championship Camaro Z28 from the early 70’s, which won a number of races against smaller domestic market cars. Powered by a tuned 5.7-litre V8 producing 470bhp. Chevrolet Camaro is the only car of the brand ever to win the title in Britain’s biggest ever tin-top series, in the hands of Australian Frank Gardner back in 1973.

The third car is a 1976 Camaro created by Chevrolet to commemorate the launch of Transformers the Movie in 2007. Still, it has 5.7 liter V8 under the hood, but it produces only 165bhp.

There is always a note of nostalgia, when several generations of a one model at brought together, but the satisfaction is way more.
