Alright, in all honesty, there probably won't be any more motor mods for me unless I feel a need to run low 10's.
Got my second dyno done after the ARH + Pypes cat back installed. Just for a reminder, my motor mods are:
- C.A.I.
- 1-3/4" ceramic coated ARH long tube headers
- high flow cats
- Pypes 2-1/2" cat back exhaust.
From Ted Jannetty's original test results, his numbers were:
1.75 long tube headers w high flow cats
Peak 401.1 HP 403.8 TQ
1.75 long tube headers w high flow cats
Average 281.2 HP 363.9 TQ
My numbers are:
Peak 426 HP @ 5550 RPM / 427 TQ @ 4700 RPM
Average 311.5 HP / 382.0 TQ (from 2041 to 6500 RPM)
As you can see, the 1-3/4" headers make good torque gains across the RPM band which is what I was looking for in a slalom/road racing application.
Overall, I'm very satisfied with the results. Got great power with fairly priced parts and have an awesome sounding car!
Compared to Ted's numbers, I'd be inclined to trust the DynaPack dyno machine since I also have the CAI and cat back.
Next on the list is to get some 1/4 mile numbers.
