Why do I come here? I enjoy talking to people. I like the Camaro (even tho I got a Challenger) and was strongly considering it until I got a deal I couldnt walk away from on a 2010 R/T. I was also considering a 2011 5.0 Mustang.
Yes, I do hate blind fanyboyism. I hate it on the Mustang side and the Challenger side, so I voice my opinion on the Camaro side. That being said I also have posted that the Camaro is an awesome car and I do compliment it.
What I do have difficulty with is when you have Camaro fans that cant comprehend why Mustang and Challenger owners post here, and want them gone. If this was truly an exclusive Camaro site, where to get in you must either testify that you are exploring getting one, have ordered one or have one (such as supplying part of the VIN), I would understand. However it is not, it is a fan site yes, but does not have strict limits on who can join.
Do Mustang owners sometimes start fights? sure..do Challenger owners sometimes start or contribute a fight? yep. Do Camaro owners start fights and fuel the flames? yes they do. It is not like one side is pure as the driven snow and the other two are just big bullies or troublemakers. The free exchange of ideas, reviews, debates and such leads to a stronger community, just as genetic diversity in the gene pool leads to a stronger species.
That being said I understand there is a Camaro bias, thats fine. What I do not appreciate is when I am made to feel completely unwelcome because I own a Challenger, or somehow I am a moron for owning one.
So I guess to the OP, I am not jealous of your car, or you for owning your car. My car is not inferior to yours in any way, and if you want to see what my car can do on the strip..hit me up the next time you're in Southern Oregon and we'll run the 1320.
