'I would be happy with the Camaro without ABL'
|
That's the same thing as "I would order it anyway". The poll is just to help GM know what people think about ABL...they don't care if you're happy or not as happy when you buy the car, just as long as you buy it. GM has 3 types of customers.
1) Diehard fans who buy no matter what
2) People on the fence
3) People who switched to foreign after a bad GM past purchase
They don't care about #1...well they do but they don't need to...#1 will buy the car without ABL. #1 will buy whatever GM coughs up and defend it to the death. #2 and #3, the average buyers...they are the ones GM needs to get.
By leaving off ABL:
-#2 might go away because it might be that one cool option that pushes them to the Camaro over another car. Goodbye #2!
- #3 might go away because cancelling options might show lack of proper management over at GM...announing features and then leaving them off. Bad form; that won't make them want to switch,...#3 needs reliability. Goodbye #3!
Needless to say, #1 can not and has not carried GM. They need #2 and #3. They need to put everything in this car that was promised on that October order form. Nothing less will suffice.
There are a lot of #1's on this site, and no insult intended if you don't care about ABL, but this feature is important. Every feature promised is important. YOU, the diehard fans, can not carry GM...the average buyer is going to do it. I'm the average buyer. I have no loyalty to GM or the Camaro past; I'm buying this car because it's the best damn car in the price range. But if they leave off this feature or others...if they do anything different then what they promised when i ordered it, I'm out. And I won't be the only one.
