Hi all - been lurking on this forum, reading and researching, prior to picking up my new car. There is a wealth of knowledge on this forum, I knew exactly what I wanted and what I could get it for price wise after reading enough. I hope there is a bit of a community for drives, shows and such. I met a lot of cool people from the Z forums and have a couple of genuine friends out of it.

My first car was a 1968 Camaro RS 327 that I absolutely loved, but it was rusted out, and it was unrealistic to think I'd have the money to fix it up, so I let it go. I moved on to a couple of other cars, most recently, a 350z that I drove / modded for a couple of years.

when I bought the Z, I really wanted a Camaro.. rumors about price were out and I knew I wouldn't be able to afford the one I wanted. couple of years went by, my career progressed, and I finally pulled the trigger!

picked up a 2011 2SS/RS. I worked with Joe at Monroe Speedway Chev.. and it was the most pleasant car buying experience I've had to date. I gave them a realistic desired trade in price, told em I wanted the new car at invoice, and there was no pressure or low balling involved. just straight information and conversation.. it was great! he knew I was picky on color and didn't try to push anything they had in inventory on me, just offered to get something delivered (same day). I am lucky I had to wait until now - the HUD is pretty cool.

Here's a picture of my Z before I parted out (some) of it and traded in, and here's a picture of my new Camaro (because you guys don't know what a stock camaro looks like, right? lol). this car feels like a total package to me and I will not be doing anything crazy to it : )

my name's Nick, I'm 25, work in IT - hope to meet / drive with some of you!
