THE DYNO
Lets try to clear this dyno thing up once and for all ...
The dyno in question is a SuperFlow 840 twin eddy current. It is an older unit (probably 15 years old now +/-) It is serial number 109. We have done multiple comparisons with Ted Jannetty's TWIN dyno. His is serial number 111 I believe, so these two are not only identical models but were made at similar times as well.
Teddy & I have baselined countless 2010 Camaros and shared data. There seems to be an approximate 10% difference between the two units. Tim has also taken several cars tuned here to another local dyno for comparison, and reults show about 11.5% difference to that one. This data has been sent to SuperFlow and they continue to review and try to find out why there is a difference but to date, no answers. In the mean time, the unit remains constent and repetable. The dyno does not read 30-35 HP different on everything. It is a percentage. This has been verified by dynoing cars here and going to other dynos for comparison. Its unfortunate but ... it is what it is.
Bone stock AT 2010 Camaros have read 302-306 RWHP on this unit. Bone stock stick cars read about 340-345 RWHP. Again, we have had dozens of these cars across the wheel so I think we can rest assured on what the baselines are.
I hope this clears the issue up for everyone.
