Just wait for the warranty work to be completed and then trade it off. 20,000 IMO is not a good trade-in price, granted the motor was in pieces but it's under warranty...However if you still owe the bank more than what the dealer is giving you for your trade then you are just loading up more debt on the SS. Not a good idea at all, you'll never build any equity in your SS that way. But in the end, if you plan on keeping the SS forever and are comfortable with the new payments then I say go for it...
