A good article in Chevy High Performance on new cams, comp and flowtech specifically mentioned actually using the VVT used in the L99 (instead of scrapping it like most have suggested), to actually make more power.
I know this is irrelevant for most, but since I'm stuck with an A6 d/t my wife, I'm interested in this approach.
Interesting about LG though, they made over 500rwhp with a cam only LS3 (vette) an over 515 with mild ported heads and their G6X3 cam.
