Unfortunately, the delay right now is the methanol kit. I want to give those of you considering this option my honest opinion of these systems. I am not bashing any one. This is just the route we decided to take for my install.

I researched heavily online. There are easily a dozen companies offering very similar kits on the market. Most vendors obviously do not have their own manufacturing plants. Let's be realistic, these are small companies that are forced to purchase their parts and piece together their kits. Just to give you an idea, take the pump for example. Coolingmist, AEM, Snow Performance, and Alcohol Injection systems all use the same pump. That's a good thing. It's common and it works. If it ever dies you can find it for about $110 online.

There are two big differences between the kits that I've found. The gauge or controller that comes with the system and the tank location.

Of all the controllers out there, I think cooling mist has the most integrated and finished looking unit on the market. So I chose them. Other units required mounting in center console or did not really include a gauge. Plus it serves as a boost gauge. I know, maybe not needed. I was hoping to keep an OEM interior but after seeing many pictures of the dual pod from fesler built I chose that one.

Tank location, I am not happy installing a tank in my trunk in a non-DOT approved container. My car is a daily driver. Here I think alky control has the best set up. They have been around a long time. Their approach is nothing behind the fire wall. We ordered a reservoir from them yesterday that will fit on the driver's side, behind the CAI, in between the motor and wheel well. This will allow me to keep my stock windshield washer system and be easily accessible for refilling. No lines run through the cabin and no space lost in the trunk. The tank cost $20. They have specialty tanks to work with just about every supercharger out there. Give them a call if you're interested in something similar.

Thanks Tim for finding a solution to meet my special request.

Tank should be here Wednesday and head to dyno for final tuning.
