For those who aren't getting it...

That experience is irrelevant. If you didn't learn it in school then you didn't learn it. Therefore, you're claim that the 'light bulb' is perfectly correct is wrong. Technically speaking, a light bulb is the enclosure that contains the inert gas and the filament. In fact, 'lamp bulb' would be more appropriate for the name of this enclosure but due to the stupidity of the english language, it is called a 'light bulb'. The entire assembly is a lamp. Oh, and I've taken 4 courses in electrical/electronics and 3 courses in mechatronics.
