Car Storage
Hey everyone.
I live in Central Illinois, little hole in the wall called Galesburg. It's flat here, and I have the mississippi river close by, as well as the Illinois river.
I bought my car in December last year, and with it being my only car at the time, drove it in the winter to and from work, etc. Well I solved that problem and got a 4x4 beater, and found storage for the camaro for this winter.
The car will be in an airplane hangar, in the country, which is in a butler building, under the wing of an airplane on a grass strip. I've got a car cover, but I'm not for sure what else I should do to keep the car safe through the winter, as I don't believe there is heat out there.
I thought about taking a set of pit ramps out for the front and back to keep the tires off the ground, but don't know if I should go a step further and just jack the car off the ground and block it on the hard points to keep the tires off the ground... Do I need to put cedar chips/moth balls in it? Not a fan of the smell of moth balls. And lastly, thought about getting a battery tender for it.
Am I missing anything or thinking too hard about it?
Thanks!
