Since I'm up to 4 weeks at 1100, could you clue me into 'Dealer Allocation'? I know I need to talk to my dealer about it, but I don't know how it works.
Thanks!

Every month the dealer receives an allotment of cars/trucks from GM. In the case of the Camaro and Equinox, any order has to be placed against this number. If in the case of a Silverado for instance, the dealer has no allocation and you want to order one, they can submit the order and GM will pick it up and build it. There is plenty of build capacity for that truck, so GM will grab orders to keep the plant moving. The Camaro and Equinox are not like the Silverado. If you place an order (1100 status) the dealer must have allocation to place it against. Otherwise the order sits, like your's is. There are 2 possibilities, either they have no allocation, or there are sold orders ahead of yours. Dealers are not obligated to share their allocations, so you have to trust what your dealer tells you unless find out something different.
I hope that helps, but if you have any other questions, don't hesitate to ask. Seems like every 6 weeks or so, this comes up and we have to explain it again, but that's OK. Best to keep everyone informed. Good luck and let us know how you do.
