Interesting about LG though, they made over 500rwhp with a cam only LS3 (vette) an over 515 with mild ported heads and their G6X3 cam.
Do you have a link to the article on Cams you mention above. I too am looking at tweeking the L99 and would like ot leave the VVT in place.
