You got me second guessing, so I asked my wife. She believed they were black, but was kind enough to suggest that if I took out the trash, I could see for myself. [Grumble] So I went out and yup, they're body colored. Maybe mine was originally a higher trim, but got changed halfway down the line, or somebody just screwed up and added them on confusing what trim it was?
I'm thinking you're reasoning sounds most likely. As it is, the RS package is pretty weak besides the HIDs. Darker wheel and taillight finish? Puh-lease. And looking at the pictures, the black roof ditch moldings don't look awful. This isn't a deal-breaker in any way, more of a very slight annoyance. I'm more upset we're forced to get 20 in staggered width wheels with the SS and V6 RS.
