it will more than likely default to auto on account of safety reasons. if someone forgets to turn them on & gets in a wreck because they "weren't visible enough," then with a slick lawyer, GM would be on the hook.

that don't work either. i've tried pushing, holding, etc & the only solution i've gotten from GM techs is to replace the Body Control Module & the whole light switch assembly with a newer one with the 'off' feature :( at first, i just removed the bulbs, but now i run purple bulbs to match my turn signals
