Firstly, the engine startup up 4 out of 5 times fine, but on that fifth time, it churns over slowly, like it's a cold winter morning. It sounds "tight" and not smoothly assembled. This concerns me greatly, as it tells me things still just ain't right. I am confident now, 'cause I still have a warrantee, but I am not at all confident in it's long term viability. I don't want to have to pay for another engine drop when the warrantee is up.
Secondly, ( goodly English, eh? ) I have been in touch with a higher up at GM Canada ( thanks entirely because of the great Fbodfather, Scott Settlemire) who is looking into things as my history with the car has been spotty from the get go. They may offer me a fair trade in against another Camaro. This is where I am torn and am considering the SS.
I really need to know if the 18" Heritage steelies will fit on the newest SS cars with the Brembo brakes. I know the early cars had those little weights on the Brembos that would rub on 18" wheels, do the new cars also rub on them? Has anyone got them to fit? I have a set for winter driving and would like to use them. This is a big point as I already have the tires and wheels. Also, I am currently comparing and contrasting the differences between the 2LT and the 2SS and would really like people to help me make the decision. It's over $10,000 more money but if GM sees my pain and would like to make things right, I have this one opportunity now that I have their attention.
Anyone?
This!

Hey Eric ! The $10,000 difference, is that for trading up to a 2LT, or the 2SS ?... 'cause if its for the 2SS, I'd go for it
P.S. Come to our Friday night meet in Laval !!
Edit.... Thought you were driving a LS....... DEFINITELY GO WITH THE SS
