The dipstick tube and handle are natural unpainted finish. The handle may have a tiny plastic tip but the color of the tip depends on the application. Small block '69 tips are green as are most of the SBC service replacements available. Original '68 Z/28's had a gray tip. '68 Big Blocks had a purple tip.

UPDATE - The '69 Z/28 seems to have come with a flattened handle and no plastic color tip. Some of the service replacements are not flattened and have a green plastic color tip.
