Ok, so you wait until next year. Then there will be a Z28 just around the corner. So you wait for that instead. Then there will be a new GT500 or the rumored '7th engine super Challenger'. Then after that, the Camaro gets a ground up redesign. Followed the following year by the Mustang. And it goes on and on and on ...

Thats why GM's released the Z06 Carbon and the CTC-V (CTS-V Coupe), and why they're working on the Z28 as we speak, right? Because the US, Canadian, and Ontario governments are forbiding any performance cars?

They're not calling the shots at GM. And for the record, they were working on the Volt well before bankruptcy. And I think its ~40k pricetag was anticipated before bankruptcy too.
